You may know Ezer Mizion as the World’s Largest Bone Marrow Registry saving lives of patients worldwide battling cancer and other diseases. However, Ezer Mizion is much more than a bone marrow registry.
The Food Distribution Service department of Ezer Mizion prepares and delivers over seven hundred thousand meals each year. These meals are distributed to family members staying with hospitalized patients, to families with a sick or disabled parent, to victims of terror and their families, and to the sick, the elderly and the homebound.
As part of the food distribution program, Ezer Mizion runs roving wagons that serve coffee, tea, drinks and pastries to people who come to the hospital for outpatient care. To continue to efficientLY supply these carts, a new Ezer Mizion bakery will be built in the Petach Tikvah kitchen which will be licensed and supervised by the Ministry of Health and will be the distribution centre for the refreshment cart in 18 hospitals around Israel.
